During a visit to Barcelona, my eyes were opened by the one and only Antoni Gaudi. The Temple of the Sagrada Familia is the most overwhelming place I have ever had the chance to enter. The extensiveness of the project is unbelievable, especially after learning the fact that it is only funded by donations. The awe-inspiring resemblance of nature throughout the cathedral was something I know would inspire me and how I would approach future projects.

He wanted the columns that hold up the temple to imitate the form and structure of a tree.
The branches stem out to piece the incoming sunrays.

The spiral staircases swirl round and round mimicking the pattern on a shell.

Mosaic fruit crown the pinnacles of the side nave.
Anticipation builds as we wait to see it in its glorious entirety. (Scheduled completion: 2026)
